Book Bingo Winter Reading Challenge

If you love reading and you love a Challenge, you’re going to love the Library’s Book Bingo  Winter Reading Challenge for adults.  It runs January 3- March 15, 2024.

Pick up a form at the checkout desk of the library. We have chosen 25 reading categories this year that may delight you, push you outside your reading comfort zone, or introduce you to your new, favorite author.

Read books that match at least five of the 25 categories, turn in your completed challenge form to the Library and receive an entry into the Grand Prize Basket of Goodies.

The basket includes a Kindle, a cozy blanket, coffee, tea and much more.

If you need suggestions about books in the different categories, just ask and we will assist you in finding them.

For more  information contact the Library at 918-782-4461.

FOLPL Online Auction

These days, we are all searching for ways to support our community, its people and the organizations that serve them.

As spring arrives, you will have a great chance to do just that and to have lots of fun at the same time. From April 3 – 28, the Friends of Langley Public Library will hold our annual auction to benefit the Library. The auction will be online for everyone’s convenience and safety. You will have a chance to bid on:

  • A handmade  Quilts
  • Many beautiful pieces of jewelry
  • Many donated by local artists and craftspeople
  • A myriad of services, gourmet items, and dining and accommodations offered by some of our favorite area businesses
  • Of course, great books will also be available
  • and much more.

You can do all this and help your favorite library at the same time. How? By participating in the Friends of Langley Public Online Auction.  You can use the following link: https://www.biddingowl.com/Auction/home.cfm?auctionID=25541

What is the Friends of Langley Public Library, you ask.  The Friends of Langley Public Library was established as a group separate from the Library’s Board of Directors, to bring together members of the community, who have an interest in the strength and successor of our public library.  Our main focus is promoting our Library, and garnering support for its programs and special features.  The Friend of Langley Public Library is a 501C3 non-profit organization.  Our mission is to assist our local library with needed funding and volunteers.  Our members advance library awareness, and promote the use of our library and its programs and resources.

The auction will benefit programming at the Library. Over the last 3 years, our world and our town have lived through turbulent times. Langley Public Library has not only persevered, but blossomed with adaptive programming.

So, get excited about the FOLPL Auction. Get online and bid. Then get ready to enjoy your beautiful find or exciting experience, and, at the same time, help to build and sustain LPL programs.
